About Hoop Hoop Hooray

Hoop Hoop Hooray’s mission is to run workshops to inspire Perth children through the art of stitching and developing new skills to find enjoyment in using their creative side. Throughout workshops, demonstrations and meet ups, I ensure children learn crafty skills while having FUN in a relaxed environment.

I welcome children from complete novices to experienced crafters and my workshops will have a maximum of 6 (novice) children in attendance to allow adequate attention to their needs.

Hoop Hoop Hooray will stock a variety of embroidery kits that will allow your child to continue their skill building at home. They will also have the option to join in at a crafty meet up to continue their enjoyment or organise their own date and make a group booking.

I look forward to welcoming your children to a Hoop Hoop Hooray workshop in the future!

About Elise

HOOP HOOP HOORAY was born in May 2018 to Perth girl, Elise Hinkley.

Hi, that’s me! I’ve been sewing and crafting for the past 20 years and saw a real lack of affordable stitching and craft workshops in Perth. My aim is to introduce children to the ‘slow craft’ of hand stitching and encourage craftiness with a focus on the process rather than rushing to finish the end product.

My background is in education having studied to be a primary teacher. I currently spend my time being a mother of two and working part-time as an education assistant at a lovely primary school in the northern suburbs.

I hold a valid working with children check and First Aid certificate.
