About Hoop Hoop Hooray

My first little β€œguinea pigs” - these dear little ladies are now Upper high school.

HOOP HOOP HOORAY

After sewing and crafting for over 25 years, Elise turned her lifelong hobby into a small business, launching Hoop Hoop Hooray in 2018. Around that time, she fell in love with hand embroidery and began to run stitching and craft workshops from her home in Greenwood.

The business name reflects her love of (hoop) embroidery and the β€œhooray” of creative making. Since then, Elise has shared her passion through beginner-friendly workshops for both young people and adults, working with local businesses, councils, and community groups across Perth.

OUR ”TEAM” - ELISE

With a Bachelor of Education and over 10 years of experience as an Education Assistant in primary schools, Elise is an experienced, friendly, andβ€”above allβ€”patient teacher. She creates welcoming and engaging workshop environments for both adults and young people, where everyone feels confident to explore, share, and learn new skills.

Elise’s workshops are grounded in the belief that making space for creativity can be a positive way to support one’s wellbeing. Whether its slow stitching, weaving, or other hands-on activities, her workshops help participants focus on the moment and connect with others in the community. 🫢

In her downtime, Elise enjoys life at home with her family, mini menagerie (including foster cats and kittens), and listening to audiobooks while crafting or gardening.
