Explore the creative possibilities of hand embroidery while learning a range of simple, practical stitches.
In this hands-on workshop, we’ll use a selection of colourful threads and fabrics, and experiment with different stitches and combinations, building confidence as you go. Participants will learn how to get started with embroidery, work with a hoop, needle and thread, and practice techniques for creating lines, shapes, texture and detail with stitches.
You’ll create a stitched project to take home and leave with practical embroidery skills that can be used for future projects, from adding decorative details to clothing and textiles to creating your own stitched designs.
